
Responsibilities/Job Description: Our Behavior Technicians work in an intensive and fast-paced environment to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children with language, communication, behavioral and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. The treatment is individualized to meet the needs of each child. It is used to decrease problem and aggressive behavior as well as to promote functional skills. Areas of focus include fine and gross motor, communication, social, personal hygiene, problem solving, behavioral regulation, independence, and prepare for transition to school settings. Behavior Technicians work in a team environment overall, but on a day-to-day basis work 1:1 with clients carrying out programs designed by a Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP). On-the-job training is provided under the supervision of a clinical director and/or QSP on the principles and procedures of behavior analysis, data collection procedures, and the implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions.
